About

I am Heithem Abbes, tech lead and founder of a software company of about ten engineers. We build point-of-sale and production management software for retail chains in Italy.

Day to day, I work on event-driven architectures with Kafka and Debezium, highly available PostgreSQL clusters with Patroni, and Docker Swarm infrastructure, with Spring Boot, Angular and Flutter on top.

I am also a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis (University of Tunis El Manar), in the LIPAH lab, where I teach distributed architectures and work on the orchestration of distributed systems.

How this notebook is written

Every entry starts from a real working session. Drafts are written with Claude from those sessions, then anonymised: no clients, no real infrastructure, no secrets.

I review and correct every entry before it is published. If something looks wrong, write to me.
